The market is steady, but there are not as many buyers out there, so viewings are down. There is still a shortage of good quality houses for sale. When serious buyers see what they want, they go for it HORSHAM

People are selling up and renting in the hope that prices will fall. Sellers of houses costing more than £500,000 are having to drop their price by 10 per cent

The market is fairly stagnant at the moment. It is very much a buyers’ market as people are choosing to wait until exactly the right property comes available
