OUR clients remain bullish about price rises in Greater London and in England and Wales for 2004. They expect rises for London of 2.8 per cent and 6.4 per cent for England and Wales. However, greatest optimism is reserved for the North and Wales, with rises of 11.1 per cent and 9.8 per cent respectively. The South East is expected to remain almost flat with a fall of just 0.3 per cent.

The next set of Land Registry figures is due in February. We do not expect any nasty surprises. Due to the lag between reported completions and accepted offers, its figures are likely to continue upwards.
